How to Transfer Your Domain Name to 6axis Media
Transferring your domain name to 6axis Media or to any other registrar is an easy process and may take approx. up to 30mins of your time. The time is mostly spent waiting the domain name status to change from lock to unlock, to propagate. First, your domain name must at least be 60 days old, and second, you cannot transfer a domain name if it’s within 45 days of its renewal date.
There are several steps involved and, with our instructions below, we will assist you through the process. To begin you will need open a new browser tab, visit your current registrar website, and to login to your domain name account. Here you will need to execute two actions, unlocking your domain and retrieve your Epp Code or Authorization Code.
*For more details see step “4. Transfer from existing Registrars”.
Now that you have unlocked your domain name and retrieved your Epp Code or Authorization Code you can go to the 6axis Media website, scroll down to the footer menu, and under DOMAINS click the “Transfer Domain” link.
Footer Menu:

- Transfer Domain link: https://6axism.ca/service-billing/transferdomain.php
- In the name field enter the existing domain name that you want to transfer and click the search button.

- On the following page you have to enter your “Epp Code / Auth Code” that you retrieved from your current domain registrar. For more info see the blue help button.
*For more details see step “5. Retrieve your Epp Code or Authorization Code”.
- Transfer from existing Registrars
• Login to your domain name registrar account
• Go to where you can manage your domain Example #1, Locate the Status of your domain and change it to unlocked. Initially your domain will have a status of “Locked” not allowing your domain to be transferred. Changing the status to “Unlocked” will allow you to transfer or move your domain to 6axis Media or to another registrar
• *Note: The status change does take up to 30mins to propagate
